Personalized Care
Every NDIS participant has unique care requirements, and at Care Around You, we take the time to understand your specific needs, preferences, and goals. Our team works closely with you to develop a personalized support plan that seamlessly integrates into your daily routine, ensuring that you receive the right level of assistance while maintaining as much independence as possible.
The NDIA assesses personal care needs based on several factors, including your level of independence, age, mobility, and access to existing support systems. While personal care assistance is generally funded for up to six hours per day, additional support can be provided for those with:
- Complex medical conditions – Individuals requiring extra medical supervision or ongoing care due to chronic illnesses or high-care needs.
- Mobility challenges – Those needing two-person transfers, specialized mobility equipment, or additional assistance moving safely in and out of bed, chairs, or transport.
- Behavioral support needs – Participants who require specialized care due to behaviors of concern, sensory sensitivities, or emotional regulation difficulties.
- Temporary limitations – Support for individuals waiting for home modifications, recovery from surgery, or rehabilitation that temporarily impact their ability to complete personal care tasks independently.
At Care Around You, we recognize that personal care is a deeply individual and sensitive aspect of daily life. That’s why we prioritize choice, dignity, and respect in all the services we provide.
We understand that some participants may prefer professional care over relying on family members for personal assistance. Our highly trained and compassionate caregivers are here to provide discreet, respectful, and skilled support, ensuring your comfort while helping you maintain as much independence as possible. Whether it’s showering, dressing, mobility support, or meal assistance, we ensure that you feel safe, supported, and empowered every step of the way.
